Eka Tjipta Widjaja, a well-known Chinese businessman in Indonesia, founded Sinar Mas Group in 1938 and now owns hundreds of companies. Sinar Mas Group was recognized as one of the largest financial conglomerate in Indonesia by Forbes magazine. APP China refers to Sinar Mas Paper (China) Investment Co. Ltd. and its subsidiary companies in mainland China. Since entering China in 1992, APP China has adhered to the strategy of sustainable development and strived to implement the green cycle based on the concept of “Plantation-Pulp-Paper Integration”. At present, APP China comprises the following business units: Forestry, Pulp, Big Paper (including industrial and cultural Paper) and Tissue (Paper Products).
In addition, APP China and its parent company-Sinar Mas Group, are also working on projects of urban complexes and science & technology parks in order to achieve a diversified business configuration for the sustainable development of the company.
